4 Common Swimming Pool Problems To Look Out For
Swimming pools are a wonderful addition to any home and you’re sure to appreciate having this facility as soon as it’s been installed and you can start doing laps - but you do need to be aware that pools require a fair amount of looking after in order for them to be safe to swim in, so familiarising yourself with common problems may be a wise move.
For example, it’s important to make sure that your pool water never turns green, as this is an indication that your chlorine levels are incorrect, meaning algae can form on the water if you’re not careful. Keeping up with pool maintenance regularly is a must in order to prevent this from happening.
You may also notice at some point that your water levels are looking a little on the low side. You need to make sure that you maintain correct water levels, or you could damage the pumping system if you’re not careful.
Another common issue you may well spot in the future is foamy water. If you see white foam around the edges of the pool or on the surface of the water, perhaps try changing your algaecide and see if this resolves it.
Keep an eye on the bottom of your pool, as well, and if you see any black or brown spots forming on the tiles, it’s possible that you may need to drain the poole entirely and have it cleaned professionally.
